Sterling Silver:
Sterling silver naturally tarnishes and this is completely normal.  However, there are many
things you can do to keep your sterling silver from tarnishing (or at least slow down the
process).  Keep your jewelry in an air-tight plastic bag or an anti-tarnish jewelry gift box.  It is
a good idea to keep your jewelry in a dry, cool place such as a jewelry box.  If your silver
does tarnish, simply clean it off using an anti-tarnish or jewelry cleaning cloth.  Be careful
not to polish any other beads while cleaning your silver.  Do not use jewelry cleaner on any
sterling silver jewelry.

Beaded Jewelry:

  • Always put your bracelets and necklaces on by opening the clasp.  Do no try to force
them on with the clasp hooked.  This kind of force will most likely break the piece.
Do not wear your jewelry while showering, cleaning, swimming, or during physical activity.
Hairspray, deodorant, perfumes, household cleaners, chlorine, etc...could damage your
jewelry.
  • Do not use jewelry cleaner on gemstones, pearls, crystals, or any other type of bead.
Instead, use a damp cloth to wipe off your beads.
  • Try not to drop your jewelry onto a hard surface.  Natural gemstones are porous and
may chip or crack if dropped.

By following these basic tips you will be able to enjoy your jewelry for many years!
